Vừa qua, trong chuyến công tác tại Vương quốc Anh, PGS.TS. Nguyễn Phụ Thượng Lưu - Phó Hiệu trưởng Trường Đại học Kinh tế - Kỹ thuật Bình Dương (BETU), Phụ trách Khoa Công nghệ Kỹ thuật Ô tô - là một trong những nhà khoa học Việt Nam được lựa chọn tham gia chương trình Leaders in Innovation Fellowships (LIF Global 2026) do Học viện Hoàng gia Anh về Kỹ thuật tổ chức.
Tại chương trình, PGS.TS. Thượng Lưu đã giới thiệu dự án SafeMove - Improving Pedestrian Safety, ứng dụng trí tuệ nhân tạo, cảm biến, Internet vạn vật và hệ thống giao thông thông minh nhằm nâng cao an toàn cho người đi bộ, góp phần giảm thiểu tai nạn giao thông. Dự án nhận được nhiều góp ý từ các chuyên gia quốc tế về phát triển sản phẩm, thương mại hóa và chuyển giao công nghệ.
Bên cạnh đó, PGS.TS. Nguyễn Phụ Thượng Lưu đã đến tham quan và làm việc tại nhiều trung tâm nghiên cứu, đổi mới sáng tạo hàng đầu của Anh như White City Innovation District, Scale Space, Oxentia và Bicester Motion, đồng thời dự án cũng thu hút sự quan tâm của Tenity, mở ra cơ hội hợp tác và kết nối quốc tế trong lĩnh vực đổi mới sáng tạo.

ASSOC. PROF. DR. NGUYEN PHU THUONG LUU PRESENTS AT THE ROYAL ACADEMY OF ENGINEERING, STRENGTHENING INNOVATION LINKS BETWEEN BETU AND THE UK
During a recent working visit to the United Kingdom, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Phu Thuong Luu, Vice Rector of Binh Duong Economics and Technology University (BETU) and Head of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering Technology, was among the Vietnamese researchers selected to participate in the Leaders in Innovation Fellowships – LIF Global 2026, organised by the Royal Academy of Engineering.
At the programme, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Phu Thuong Luu presented the SafeMove – Improving Pedestrian Safety project. The project integrates artificial intelligence, sensor technologies, the Internet of Things and intelligent transportation systems to enhance pedestrian safety and contribute to reducing road traffic accidents. SafeMove received valuable feedback from international experts on key areas including product development, technology commercialisation and technology transfer. These professional discussions provided important insights for further refining the solution and improving its potential for practical deployment.
As part of the visit, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Phu Thuong Luu also toured and worked with several leading research and innovation organisations in the United Kingdom, including White City Innovation District, Scale Space, Oxentia and Bicester Motion. The SafeMove project also attracted interest from Tenity, creating further opportunities for international collaboration, innovation networking and potential partnerships in technology development and commercialisation.
